Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has awarded the contract for the upgrade of the hallowed chamber of the State House of Assembly.
This is to enable it to meet up with the global standard of legislative chambers with state-of-the-art facilities for quality service delivery.
Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Abdullahi disclosed the information to the House while sitting on Monday in Lafia.
“I am pleased to inform everyone that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, has approved the contract for the upgrading of the hallowed chamber of this honourable house.
“The contractor handling the project will commence work tomorrow (Tuesday) by God’s grace and it is on this note that I want to officially inform all members and staff of the Assembly to excuse the contractor for them to do their job diligently,” the Speaker said.
Abdullahi expressed gratitude to the governor for the gesture and adjourned the house sitting till a later date which according to him, will be announced to members of the house when the contractor concludes the upgrade.
