Uganda Cranes head coach Michó Milutin Sredojevic has named the final squad of 25 players to face Rwanda in the two World Cup 2022 Qatar Qualifiers .
Eight players have been trimmed from the 33-man squad previously named for the residential camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisaasi.
Goalkeepers Joel Mutakubwa (Express) and Simon Tamale (Soltilo Bright Stars) are among the dropped local based legion. Others are Willa Paul (Vipers SC), Ashiraf Mandela (URA FC), Herbert Achai, Musa Ramathan, Sadat Anaku and Brian Aheebwa (KCCA FC).
Uganda Cranes will play the Amavubi Stars of Rwanda on Thursday 7th in Kigali before the second leg scheduled for Sunday 10th October 2021 at the St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
The team flies out tonight Tuesday (10pm) aboard RwandaAir. The match in Kigali will be played on 7th October at 6pm (Rwanda Time), 7pm in Uganda.
