Minister Katumba Wamala and Allen Kagina appearing on a talk show on Unity FM

Minister of Works and Transport Gen. Edward Katumba Wamala this morning met with leaders from the nine districts that make up Lango Region in northern Uganda.

The minister, who is flanked by the Executive Director of Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) Allen Kagina Kagina is in the area to inspect the state of road network.

Kagina arrived in the region on Thursday and held meetings with local leaders including MPs under the Lango Parliamentary Group.

Today’s meetings kicked off with a radio talk show on Radio Unity where the minister updated the locals on the infrastructural projects.

Later in the afternoon, Gen Katumba and Kagina are expected to meet Local Government representatives from the districts of Kole, Alebtong, Oyam, Otuke, Apac, Lira, Dokolo, Kole and Kwania, before concluding the tour.

The three-day visit to Lango was a follow up to an engagement UNRA had with Lango Sub-Region MPs on September 8 this year.
