BJP leader Subramanian Swamy removed the party’s name from his Twitter bio after he was dropped from the BJP’s national executive committee on Thursday. The former Union minister removed “BJP National Exec. member” from his bio.
BJP’s name has not been mentioned in any other capacity in Subramanian Swamy’s Twitter profile bio. It currently says, “Rajya Sabha MP, Former Union Cabinet Minister, Harvard Ph.D in Economics; Professor, I give as good as I get.”

Meanwhile, Subramanian Swamy, known to be a strong critic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s economic policies, was among several senior BJP leaders who were removed from the party’s 80-member national executive committee on Thursday.
Varun Gandhi, who has been vocal about the policies of the Centre in the context of the farm laws and the Lakhimpur Kheri violence, and his mother Maneka Gandhi were also dropped.
Union ministers Rao Inderjit Singh and Prahlad Patel, Suresh Prabhu, Dushyant Singh, who is the son of former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje, Vijay Goel, Vinay Katiyar and SS Ahluwalia are among those who have not found a berth in the new list.
