Actress Sherlyn Chopra, whose statement has been recorded in the porn racket case against businessman Raj Kundra, has said that he and his firm’s creative director had repeatedly followed her to work for the mobile application named ‘Hotshots’.
India Today TV has accessed a statement Sherlyn Chopra had given to the Mumbai crime branch in the porn racket case against Raj Kundra.
The Mumbai crime branch on Wednesday filed a chargesheet in the porn racket case naming Raj Kundra, the IT head of his firm Ryan Thorpe, two other accused, Yash Thakur alias Arvind Shrivastava, a resident of Singapore and Kundra’s brother-in-law identified as Pardeep Bakshi, a resident of London.
The 1500-page document is a supplementary chargesheet in the case, which also includes statements of 43 witnesses, of which five witnesses have recorded their statement in front of a magistrate under Section 164 of CrpC.
In her statement to the crime branch officials, Sherlyn Chopra said that she had signed a contract with the firm Armsprime Media Pvt Ltd for creating the mobile app named ‘The Sherlyn Chopra App’.
Apart from Raj Kundra, one Saurabh Kushwaha was also a director of the firm Armsprime Media Pvt Ltd. Through the application ‘The Sherlyn Chopra App’, videos and pictures of Sherlyn Chopra were being published.
Sherlyn Chopra was to get 50 per cent of the revenue generated through the app as per her contract with Armsprime Media, but she claimed that she was never given the revenue.
Raj Kundra then approached Sherlyn Chopra and asked her to act for the mobile application named ‘Hotshots’, which was also part of Armsprime Media.
As per the statement, Sherlyn Chopra claimed that Raj Kundra told her that the content on ‘Hotshots’ will be “much bolder and hot and she needs to work carefree”. As the issues related to creativity and revenue did not settle between Kundra and Chopra, she did not work for ‘Hotshots’.
Sherlyn Chopra also said, “The Hotshots application belonged to Raj Kundra. He and the creative director of Kundra’s firm Meeta Jhunjhunwala repeatedly contacted me asking me to work for the application.”
A detailed statement of Sherlyn Chopra is part of the chargesheet that was filed by Mumbai crime branch officials on Wednesday.
