Navjot Singh Sidhu is the Rakhi Sawant of Punjab politics”, said AAP leader Raghav Chadha, drawing flak from people for using a ‘sexist’ jibe. Raghav Chadha’s comment came in response to a video posted by the Punjab Congress chief criticising Arvind Kejriwal over farm reforms.
“Exploitation of farmers and decreasing prices even on crops where MSP is announced – Arvind Kejriwalji… you notified the Private Mandi’s central black law! Has it been denotified or is the masquerade still going on?” Navjot Singh Sidhu asked in the video.
Hitting back at Sidhu, Raghav Chadha said that he is criticising Arvind Kejriwal as he “has received a scolding from Congress high command” for his rant against Captain Amrinder Singh. “Therefore today, for a change, he went after Arvind Kejriwal,” Raghav Chadha said in his tweet.
The Rakhi Sawant of Punjab politics -Navjot Singh Sidhu- has received a scolding from Congress high command for non stop rant against Capt. Therefore today, for a change, he went after Arvind Kejriwal. Wait till tomorrow for he shall resume his diatribe against Capt with vehemence https://t.co/9SDr8js8tA

RAGHAV CHADHA SLAMMED FOR USING A ‘SEXIST’ JIBE
Hitting back at Raghav Chadha, Navjot Singh Sidhu tweeted, “Looking at your mind, I believe you are still descending!”
They say man descended from the apes and the monkeys, Looking at your mind @raghav_chadha I believe you are still descending ! You still haven’t answered my question about notifying the Farm Laws by your Government.

Raghav Chadha’s tweet also didn’t go down well with netizens and leaders of other parties, who slammed him for unnecessarily dragging a woman’s name in a political slugfest. Slamming Raghav Chadha’s tweet, Congress leader Alka Lamba said it showed AAP’s mentality towards women.

BJP spokesperson Khemchand Sharma tweeted, “Raghav Chadha has shown the real anti-women face of AAP.”
Shame on him.

Some people also took to the comment section to express anguish over the ‘misogynistic’ statement made by the AAP leader. “I condemn you for unnecessarily mentioning Rakhi Sawant here. It’s not only inappropriate but also ill-cultured,” a Twitter user said.
‘Mentioning a girl unnecessarily is not the sign of a decent gentleman. You should apologize immediately to the girl and your followers,” another netizen tweeted.
AAP-SIDHU WAR OF WORDS CONTINUES
As the Punjab political crisis continues to deepen with the state Congress cadre divided between Captain Amrinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu, the latter continues to slam his party in public despite frequent warnings. Raghav Chadha’s comment too came amid Congress’ warnings to Sidhu against criticising the party. However, the Punjab Congress Chief remains unsparing as he recently questioned the Congress government’s inaction on the drugs issue.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Sidhu and AAP have indulged in a war of words, as earlier the Arvind Kejriwal-led party called his letter to Captain Amrinder Singh a ‘stunt’.
