Residents in Kabuga village, Nyakabande sub county in Kisoro district have expelled one of their own from the village for allegedly committing adultery with a UPDF officer.
In a meeting chaired by Augustin Rudahunga, the village chairperson on Wednesday, it was resolved that 45-year-old as Felesita Ngendahimana should be banished from the village.
The decision was reportedly reached after consultation with the husband of the accused, who works in Kampala.
Felesita Ngendahimana is married to Phillip Ngendahimana and they have five children.
Her troubles however, started when she allegedly invited an unidentified UPDF officer to her house to spend a night.
Her children were unhappy with her act and they reported the matter to their neighbors.
The neighbors gathered at the home and they dragged the UPDF officer from the bedroom and tied him with ropes.
The officer was only rescued by his fellow officers from Nyakabande barracks.
Meanwhile in the same village meeting on Wednesday, the locals also resolved to expel one Dushime Ancilla, 24, who operates a bar at Kabuga trading center.
Dushime was accused of conniving with Felesita Ngendahimana to bring UPDF officer in Kabuga trading center.
Mrs Ngendahimana however denied the allegations and vowed not to leave before her husband comes home.
