Experienced goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan completed his return to KCCA Football Club for the third spell, penning a two-year contract with the 13-time Uganda Premier League champions.
The former AFC Leopards (Kenya) and Kabwe Warriors (Zambia) shot stopper returns to the MTN Omondi stadium for his third stint. He had his first tenure in 2008/9 with the second coming between 2015/2018.
Ochan reunites with head coach Morley Byekwaso having previously worked together at Sports Club Victoria University in 2013/14 season and during his second stint as a KCCA FC player in 2015/18.
“I am happy to be back. This is the team I grew up supporting, I have won things here and I hope I can win a few more. I am excited to get started. The team has a number of youngsters now compared to then and they need to be guided,” Ochan told KCCA website.
“Being one of the senior players in the team I will be able to offer the guidance to the lads. I want to win with KCCA FC. Could be the League or the Cup. The fans should expect beautiful football because we want to get back at the top,” he added.
He left KCCA FC in January 2018 and joined Kabwe Warriors in Zambia before crossing boarders to Kenya Premier League entity AFC Leopards on a two year deal from 2019/21.
He’s the 10th signing for KCCA FC in this window, joining Brian Majwega, Brian Kayanja, Geofrey Wasswa, Emmanuel Wasswa, Usama Arafati, Yassar Mugerwa, Innocent Wafula Esimu, Rogers Mato and Derrick Ochan.
