|Ghana ‘Bobi Wine ‘ protests
THE FAST OBSERVER POLITICS | Human rights activists in Ghana have walked in protest of the recently completed Ugandan presidential election.
The activists are one of the many Africans worldwide that have come out to call off Museveni’s victory and ask for a recount or election re-run.
Ugandans went to polls on 14th January to elect a new president, a race where former pop-star Bobi Wine was running against 76 years old ruler Yoweri Museveni.
Though all available evidence shows that Bobi won the election, Museveni was declared winner with more than 58% against Wine’s 36% .
The country however rejected the victory given to Museveni, more so Bobi Wine’s party leadership and supporters.
This called for world wide peacefull protests.
