|Some of the longest serving African presidents|
By Ssonko Robert (Kampala, UGANDA)
Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni is yet to congratulate the incoming American president when he is still the same president after 34 years of ruling the country.
Americans were not ready to offer Donald Trump a second term but dictator Museveni is running his 8th term – And surprisingly looking at declaring himself winner in the coming presidential elections. Will he win? No, But his political opponents are treated like high grade criminals.
In Museveni’s regime , the opposition is defined as enemy of state, he uses words like “I will crush you” to citizens trying to run against him.
His current opponent is Robert Kyagulanyi “Bobi Wine” , who is arrested time to time – Brutalised and blocked from access the media or address public rallies.
Bobi’s crime is being a presidential candidate against Museveni who is freely doing whatever he wants but his opponents are not only monitored but also blocked!
