|Military officers on standby with guns and patrol car after blocking Bobi Wine from proceeding|
NUP leader Robert Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine was blocked by police and military from addressing supporters in Kibaale district on Wednesday.
As advised by the electoral commission, Bobi was mean’t to have rallies in Kagadi, Hoima and Kibaale districts – his first rally being scheduled for Kibaale.
The young politician was however blocked by police and military armed with guns and teargas, and he didn’t manage to address supporters in the district.
Bobi Wine 37, has been blocked and his rallies canceled several times since the presidential campaigns started in Uganda- which leaves questions of if Uganda will really have a fair election in 2021
Security operatives in Kibaale used teargas and bullets to disperse Bobi Wine supporters who and the leader proceeded to have rallies in Hoima and Kagadi.
“It is very sad to see that a regime, which came here so glorious and loved is now so scared of the people” Bobi Wine
“The mistake any leader can make is not to read the signs and the times. Someone close to Gen. Museveni, tell him to wake up and realise that Uganda is ready for change.” He added
