Images of Uganda police and Army officers pointing guns to non armed civilians have left un answered questions.
On Sunday 15th November, NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi “Bobi Wine” was set to address rallies in Sironko and Mbale to mark end of his first week of presidential campaigns.
The young politician and his team reached sironko in time and followed normal routes, programme as designated by the electoral commission .
Bobi however has since beginning of his campaigns proved to be people’s favorite of all candidates in the race, any information of his presence anywhere attracts masses on streets to wave to him.
In Sironko, Police and the Army under command of one Abraham Asiimwe took positions, cocked and pointed guns to non armed residents , an act which left everyone wondering.
Ugandan government and current regime in particular has proved that it’s not ready to give out power peacefully even after 34 years of ruling.
Bobi Wine is having the hardest time, he has been arrested countless times, tortured and falsely prosecuted.
Even after this ugly event, The police through spokes person Enanga Fred continued defending their actions and blaming the Opposition candidate for organising rallies.
This comes when the incumbent president Yoweri Museveni 76 is freely campaigning and his supporters protected.
Observers have since warned for a possible revolution if issues are not solved in time.
