|Isma Olaxess- NRM blogger and Mobiliser
Story By PML DAILY,
The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party darling blogger Isma Olaxes has publicly apologized for the ‘irresponsible’ comments he made in a video a few days ago.
Few days ago, a video of Isma making threatening comments to different members of opposition accusing them of wanting to deliberately promote hooliganism at the expense of state power went viral.
In the video, the furious blogger mentions how he is untouchable and dedicated to use all their (NRM) might to break any hopes of opposition taking power.
“What Uganda Police did was just a tip of the iceberg. We will not jeopardize the sovereignty of or country, we shall not allow this hooliganism, we shall beat you, we shall knock you,” Isma rallied in the video in which he mentioned among others singers; Wycliff Tugume alias Ykee Bender and Alexander Bagonza alias A Pass.
The motor-mouthed blogger was yesterday forced to make a clear apology to the families of those who lost relatives in the riots as well as the artists he mentioned in the prior video.
“It was political tension, all sides were bringing fire, so in that mood, and I said what I said. I have listened to them again and come to the conclusion some comments were not called for. I send my condolences to the families that lost loved ones,” Isma pleaded.
Isma explained that he intended to tell artists A Pass and Ykee Benda to promote non-violence but the message could have gone off wrong.
“They (artists) should be neutral, they should tell the difference between protests and demonstrations. People in the diaspora supporting NUP are busy releasing videos calling for the death of certain people in Uganda. This is wrong as well. However, I am sorry for those I made angry with my video,” he added.
