|Bobi Wine waving to supporters in Pader district
Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu also Bobi Wine is expected to hold his presidential campaign rallies in Oyam, Apac and Lira on Thursday.
Bobi held rallies in Pader and Gulu on Wednesday – he was set to have a rally in Kitgum but the Resident District Commissioner blocked him.on the grounds that they had not been cleared.
The former popstar proceeded to a rally in Pader and later went to Gulu.
“Despite the teargas and harassment on the orders of Gulu DPC, one Mafundo, Bobi Wine said: “our people weathered it all and stood their ground to receive us in a massive way”.
“It is incredibly humbling seeing Ugandans from all walks of life embrace our message in such a phenomenal way”.
He urged the people of Northern Uganda especially the youth to turnout in massive numbers on January 14 to not only vote for him but also guard the election.
Bobi Wine said the 2021 presidential election is not just an election but a revolutionary election because of his candidature that has thrown incumbent President Museveni into panicking including ordering reducing the campaigning period to just two months which has never been there before.
He said Northern Uganda has a lot of potential and that he will immediately embark on redeveloping it after taking the office.
